CHRISTMAS POWERPOINT PRESENTATION ( PRIMARY AND INFANTS)

I've used some Christmas cliparts and cut them in several pieces using Paint. Then, I've placed each piece in a different slide. This Powerpoint presentation can be used in different ways. You can ask the students to guess what they see in the pictures and say the name aloud or write it down in their notebook.

PROFESSOR WORD

Reading the Blog de TIC en Lenguas Extranjeras I found a post on Professorword. It is a free bookmarklet that helps you to learn new words while you go on the Internet. It's a fantastic tool for your students. They will learn new vocabulary words in context while they read. I'ts very easy to use. You only have to save it for free, and you'll be able to use it on any site.

SUPER SIMPLE SONGS YOUTUBE CHANNEL

I highly recommend Super Simple Songs Youtube Channel. If you teach Young Learners it's perfect for you!  You'll find lots of classic kids songs and games. I discovered it a couple of years ago and I find it very helpful.

This is one the songs I use with my 3-6 year olds and it's really fun:

PSICHOBILLY WORKSHEET

We all know how much our students love music. I've created an online poster on Psichobilly music aimed at B2 learners (upper-intermediate):

Tiger Army

Reverend Horton Heat

After doing the previous worksheet, you can work on Cupid's Victim by Tiger Army:

Divide the class into groups of two or three. Print the lyrics and cut them into strips . The more strips, the more difficult the exercise. Give each group a full set of lyrics cut into strips. Play the song. Each group attempts to place the strips in the correct order. Replay the song two or three times. Award points to each group according to how accurately they have arranged their strips. Hope you find it useful!

THANKSGIVING DAY TREASURE HUNT

Hi!

Thanksgiving Day is approaching! I've created a Treasure Hunt for A2 learners (lower-intermediate). Students have to answer several questions about this holiday and make a poster in groups of three.

MY TOP FIVE WEBSITE PICKS FOR THE ENGLISH TEACHER (Young Learners and Primary)

  1. I love websites that offer worksheet generators, that's why MES ENGLISH is my favourite webpage ever! You can also download lesson plans, printable flashcards, games... And of course it's free! http://www.mes-english.com/

2.  My second pick is SPARKLEBOX. It offers a wide range of possibilities, but I mainly use it because of its class management resources: certificates and rewards, targets and monitoring worksheets, routines and class organisation... http://www.sparklebox.co.uk/

3. If you teach Science, this is your website. You'll find tons of science-related worksheets: http://www.education.com/worksheets/science/ . Registration is compulsory, but you'll be able to download hundreds of worksheets for free.

4.  http://www.kidzone.ws/prek_wrksht/shapes/ib-books-photos.htm is my fourth pick. Here you'll find a wide variety of downloadable minibooks. It's great that there are no staples or glue required for these itsy bitsy books! Photo directions for assembly are included.

5. My last pick is http://funclapping.com/International.php . It offers videos and lyrics of hand clapping games and songs. I've started to use hand clapping games with my 3rd graders recently and this site has been quite helpful.

Rollercoaster  is one of my favourite hand clapping songs. My students also love it!

So, this is my list of the top five websites for the English teacher (Young Learners and Primary) . I hope this post has been helpful for you!
